I was asked the other day by a customer why we don't offer Mommy and Me Classes? I just had my little one 8 months ago and I had never heard of a Mommy and Me Class before! So I started researching infant and toddler classes in San Diego and realized there really isn't a whole lot out there for new parents and their babies. I think it is super important to interact with your little ones and I'll be honest when my son first got here, being a new mom I didn't really know what to do with him. Now that he is reacting and playing with toys and his surroundings, not being a very imaginative person, I sometimes don't know what to do with him for fun. It has definitely been a learning process for me and I have often wondered what is out there to facilitate play time and learning as a parent to play with my baby. It is so easy to get caught up in work, life and routine and forget to enjoy the little things! That being said.....Pony Land is now going to offer BABY AND ME Classes on the Farm. I didn't want to exclude the Dad's out there so we are open to ALL parents and their babies. We will have weekday and weekend classes and an 8 week enrollment discount. Classes will be one hour long and include play time, music, art and 1 on 1 animal interactions with our petting farm animals. Classes will be limited to 10 children per class. Click below for the details on how to enroll. Classes begin October 29th and will run Mondays and Saturdays from there on out. Sign up through our email at [email protected]
With the hot temperatures expected in the next few weeks, now is the time to book your Private Guided Swim Adventure Tour! Ever wanted to take a horse swimming in the ocean? Our swim adventures allow you to take the horses in the water up to their chests! The water temperatures are supposed to be good so check out the low tide times below to see when the optimal time is to book your Swim Adventure! You can visit the attached link to look up the low tide times for San Diego. We take our tours out at low tide in order for our horses to get in the water easily for our customers. Sometimes higher tides are a little more daunting so we try to utilize the larger stretch of beach at low tide in order to get the horses into the water in a relaxed setting. Check out the short clip of a swim adventure! Even though the beach was cloudy that day the riders had a blast! This ride starts out by taking you through the canopy tree trails in the dry Tijuana River Bed all the way out to the beach known as Border Field State Park. Along the way you can see endangered birds as well as sometimes spot dolphins!
(We do not recommend this tour for beginner riders or nervous riders. You must be able to sit up and steer your horse with both hands into the water and use your legs to urge your horse in. Scared or first time riders who need to hold onto the saddle horn should not book this tour) Lookup the low tide at : https://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/noaatidepredictions/NOAATidesFacade.jsp?Stationid=9410170 Ever thought of owning a pig for a pet? Or raising them for your homesteading purposes of raising your own food? We raise purebred Kune Kune piglets. Kune Kune pigs are a New Zealand breed of pig that are known for their docile and friendly nature. The word "kune kune" in the Maori language means "fat and round" which suits this breed. They are rotund, have long hair and large ears as well as wattles that hang from their chin. They come in all colors and full grown weight about 150-200 pounds. Our piglets are ready to be weaned and are $200 per piglet. We have 4 gilts (females) and 1 boar available. Kune Kune's should get a diet of forage and pot belly pig feed although they are grazing pig and can live and thrive on grass alone our Kune's get a special dietary blend made for smaller breeds of pigs. They can live indoors and very smart and easy to litter box train. Email us today for information on how to purchase a Kune Kune Pig! We were recently honored to be featured by the South Bay Compass in their Tijuana River Valley section. "Ponyland opened in May 2015 and is owned by the same ranchers who run San Diego Beach Rides. The property includes a petting zoo and, of course, lots of ponies! Kids will love this place. Quaint and adorable, the pictures describe the experience best." "San Diego Beach Rides is a great way to enjoy the Tijuana River Valley Regional Park as well as Border Field State Park. Sure, you can buy your own horse, but I prefer just to rent one for an hour or two. For that, San Diego Beach Rides is perfect. The ranch is near the ocean, so the weather is mild and they’re open all year round. They’ve created a little ghost town and have animals on the property to admire as well, including an alpaca."
